July 4th Parade 2025

TW Nickerson provided a truck and trailer for our float. Our theme was “American Revolution – 250 Years”. We had 9 boy scouts and 6 cub scouts in the parade including 2 who carried then banner for the town officials. The scouts wore their uniforms and tricorn hats. The float had a dingy and a cub scout in a George Washington outfit to represent crossing the Delaware. We had blue tarps around to dingy to look like water. The float also had banners on the sides of the truck, buntings on the front and back of the truck, plus US flags all around and a few carried by the scouts. We had fife and drum music playing on speakers. A few adults walked besides the float and collected 12 bags of trash. Our parade position of 56 was towards the end and we were between Chatham Fog and Chatham Hood Bikes. The weather was perfect and the crowd large and friendly, and especially cheered for our George Washington.
